The carry is the run
A nest visit only counts when the egg is at your base. The listing's rule of the heist is to make it back before the Guardians catch you. Play notes treat a catch as a failed carry. The public description does not print the exact fail text, so plan as if the egg in your hands is gone if you are caught.
Other players on the 6-player server can also go for the same valuable eggs.
Steal and extract
- Pick the area your current Speed can leave, not the area with the prettiest egg.
- Swim the route once without taking an egg. Note the way back and where you would lose sight of the exit.
- Choose one nest before you commit.
- Take the egg and turn for base. Extra searching after the pickup is how carries fail.
- If another player is already on that nest, or a Guardian is already close, leave and use the route you scouted.
- Hatch the egg at base before you queue up a harder trip.
Which eggs are worth the trip
The official hunt targets are rare sizes, mutations, and legendary finds, plus the fiery eggs added with Volcano Area 9. Ordinary nests in early water are the right target while you are still learning the return. A mutated or oversized egg on a route you already survive can be a better grab than a famous egg in water you cannot leave.
Named egg lists, hatch times, and cash-per-second values are not published. This site does not invent them.
A good run versus a greedy one
One egg deposited is progress. Two eggs still in the water when the Guardian arrives are not. Repeat the single-target trip until the route is boring, then move farther out.
